99 countries, 7 continents, 1 world. Since we started theCurrent in early 2015 it has been quite a journey. We’ve added sections, taken stuff out, and changed direction, but from the beginning the one constant has been the Country of the Week! So for our 100th edition, we figured it was time to take a look back at where we’ve been and where we’re going!
Where it All Started
Our first Country of the Week (Jan 26, 2015) was actually our closest neighbour…the United States! While it would take several months before we completed our 4-part, coast to coast road trip through America, it still represented a great start to our worldwide journey.
Since then we’ve been through the ENTIRE European Union, gone on multiple safaris (including last week in Kenya), explored ancient civilizations (and even fantastical realms) wherever they’ve been unearthed, soaked up the Caribbean and South Pacific sun, and…well you get the idea, it’s been a lot!
Where We’re Going
Our travels are certainly not done yet. While we don’t know exactly what the future holds we can guarantee that we’ll be visiting more countries, more cities, more national parks, more landmarks, more hidden gems, and more amazing destinations for you to explore.
We can’t wait to go back through our travels and pick out our favourite places, experiences, histories, and more. So keep an eye out for ‘Around the World in 100 Weeks’ in the coming days to share in a grand adventure.
Relive our journey so far with Continental’s Countries!
